Astro Oilfield Rentals was incredibly honored to sponsor this year's "STARS Among Us" gala on Saturday, October 5, 2024, a spectacular evening that brought together businesses and community members in support of STARS (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service). The event, which raised over $425,000 and counting, was a huge success, highlighting the tremendous generosity of the community and the importance of STARS’ life-saving services.
The evening was hosted by Erica Fisher, with an exciting lineup of performances and presentations. Guests were treated to a beautiful performance by dancers from the Traditional Paths Society, and heard a heartfelt address from Mike Lamacchia, the Chief Operating Officer of STARS, detailing the vital work they do across Alberta. One of the most memorable moments of the night was a simulated response to a traffic accident, showcasing the quick and critical actions of STARS’ rescue team. The entertainment continued with music from the talented GP Jazz Quartet, setting the perfect tone for the evening.
The gala itself was a sight to behold, with a beautifully decorated venue and a delicious meal that everyone enjoyed. It was inspiring to see so many local businesses and community members come together to raise funds for this incredible organization.
