We're currently hiring up to two Oilfield Communications Technicians and we're looking for the right fit, not just the next available person.

This is an opportunity to start immediately and build a career supporting critical communications systems at remote worksites across Western Canada. Based out of Grande Prairie, Alberta, the role includes a significant amount of driving to and from remote job sites, installing and maintaining communications equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring our customers stay connected when it matters most.
New technicians will begin by riding along with one of our experienced senior field technicians, learning the equipment, processes, and expectations of the role. As your skills develop, you'll be expected to work independently, solve problems in the field, and represent Astro professionally on customer sites.
Successful candidates are self-motivated, safety-focused, and comfortable working on their own. Strong troubleshooting skills are essential. If you're the person your family calls when the Wi-Fi stops working, the TV won't connect, or something mechanical needs fixing, this role might be a great fit. 😄
Previous oilfield experience is an asset, but an aptitude for learning, strong problem-solving abilities, and mechanical inclination are often just as important. If you take pride in your work, value safety, and want to be part of a team that shows up when it matters, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and start your next adventure with Astro!
